Jordan's Cat Fishing Portrait

I'm partial to this portrait done of my own son Jordan. He is a channel catfish catcher for sure. His favorite time of year is an annual weekend catfishing trip with his Grandpa and Uncle. This fish was one of many he caught near the Big Brutus coal shovel in Southeast Kansas. When I bring this to shows folks think it's photograph. I use photos for reference only. My trophy paintings are executed by hand one brushstroke at a time. Catfish portraits are extremely popular with taxidermists who suggest them to their clients wishing to do something special to commemorate their love for catfishing.
