The Rescuers

This was a fantastic project to work on and I can't wait to share the entire story of these wonderful two dogs (coming soon). Working with sentimental photos to create a cohesive artwork can be a challenge. Especially if the source photos really don't fit together. In this piece I basically created 3 artworks and tied them all together on one canvas. The background art is my version of a Van Gogh painting called "Autumn Trees" and is indicative of his early work which I have been studying of late. This portrayal made a timeless family heirloom which is treasured by the owners.
