These are our finest portrait offering. Created using your snapshots as reference these canvas artworks are executed by hand, one brushstroke at a time. I use a combination of traditional fine art and modern illustration techniques to create the ultimate acrylic portrait. Your portrait begins life as an accurate underpainting that serves as the foundation for the final acrylic work. Like the underpaintings of Titian, Rembrandt and Vemeer, this pre-version of the final painting sets the composition, creates volume, and gives substance to the subject matter. Dark and light tones are mapped out to create the effects of depth and illumination in your portrait. Traditionally this process is worked out directly on the canvas. I do this stage off the canvas using dry brush speed painting techniques in oils as employed by master Russian portrait artists, modern digital speed painting used by the world's top concept artists or graphite and charcoal drawings on plain paper. The underpainting is mechanically transferred to the artists canvas for final color application and rendering of details using the finest pigments and paints. The flexibility of this unique process allows for unequaled speed of creation and accuracy of details. This is the factor that allows us to do these incredible paintings at such affordable prices. These are stunning works of art that far exceed the original photo reference. There is no photography or photoshop filtering used.
